The article describes the relevance and necessity of primary prevention psychoactive substances use among schoolchildren, considers need for scientific substantiation evidence effectiveness programs in different countries. A short literature review experience Belarus, Russia non-CIS countries has been made. elaborated, tested implemented practice curriculum optional classes aimed at formation students’ skills responsible safe behavior «We are ourselves» grades 5-8 general secondary education establishments is presented detail. goals extracurricular program as well its structure described, tasks detailed. organizational methodological work that was carried out successful implementation cycle highlighted (seminars with educational psychologists, individual consultations on request, summing up intermediate results after 5 lessons a seminar final stage testing materials definitive results). given, were obtained help survey students, their parents teachers, concerning distribution monitoring Vitebsk region, which demonstrated prospects use. Based article, conclusions drawn about prophylactic schoolchildren to prevent methods improvement.
